Gather all ingredients, a mixing bowl, mixing spoon, and 1 vegan pie crust. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add flaxseeds and water to a small bowl, stir slightly, and set aside to thicken.
Next add the melted plant butter, 100% maple syrup, brown sugar, corn starch, pure vanilla extract, and the flaxseed mixture to a large bowl. Stir until well combined.
Break or chop the pecans into pieces and spread evenly in the vegan pie crust.
Pour the pecan pie mixture into the pie crust over the pecans.
Add whole or half pecans to the top for decoration per your preferences.
Bake in the oven for one hour. It is ready when the pie is dark brown and bubbly.
Allow to cool completely and then place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
