Ola my friend! This sweet & spicy garlic chili plum sauce was a spur of the moment deal. If you are looking to spice up your rice or your seafood then you are in for a special treat! Plum sauce dropped into my mind because I had a surplus of plums that I did not know what to do with. One of my sisters who loves good quality food gave this plum sauce two thumbs up.
I only want to highlight the ingredients and prep for this journal post. The ingredient quantity was at my discretion per my tastes. Special thanks to Asian Plum Sauce – Let’s Dish for the guidance and confirming that plum sauce wasn’t just a figment of my imagination! I ended up drizzling this delicious plum sauce over brown rice and also over my baked salmon. It tasted so good.
Garlic Chili Plum Sauce Recipe: Ingredients & Prep
- Red plums
- Minced Garlic
- Himalayan Pink Salt
- Red Crushed Peppers
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Ginger
- Himalayan Black Salt
- Honey
- Coconut Sugar
- Clean and Chop plums into small to medium chunks and place in pot.
- Cook the plums on medium heat.
- Add garlic, salt, apple cider vinegar, ginger, honey and coconut sugar to pot.
- Simmer on medium low heat for approximately 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle the red crush pepper per your spice tolerance.
Notes
- Minced garlic can be substituted for garlic powder
- Baking soda and apple cider vinegar in cool water can be used to clean fruit
