Make Your Own Homemade Vegan Crackers with Organic Wheat

Ola my friend! Have you ever made a soup or stew and realized that crackers would have been the perfect companion but you do not have any. O and it’s too late to go to the store … and you just remembered that a decent box of quality crackers is getting expensive. Let me help you out with this one. You can make your own homemade vegan crackers. They are buttery, crispy, simple and quick to make. Let’s go!

Homemade Vegan Crackers Ingredients and Prep

  • 100% Organic Wheat Flour (1 cup)
  • Himalayan Pink Salt (1/2 tsp)
  • Baking Powder (1 tsp)
  • Coconut Sugar (1/2 tsp)
  • 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil (2 tbsp)
  • Warm Water (3 tbsp)
  • Plant Butter
  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and stir until a thick dough is formed
  3. Coat your hands with flour and knead the dough for about 2 minutes.
  4. Take small chunks of the dough and flatten into a thin square or circle.
  5. Slightly cut the dough with a butter knife into rectangles or the shape you desire.
  6. Rub plant butter on top of the dough before placing in oven.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes or until slightly brown.
  8. Allow the crackers to cool and enjoy.

Notes

  • The coconut sugar is optional
  • You can substitute the organic wheat with garbanzo bean flour one for one
  • You can add a little herbs per your preference (I’m still experimenting myself)
