Ola my friend! I want to take you on a little flashback to the time I travelled to Montreal in Quebec Canada. I was only there for three SHORT days. It was worth every second. The food was the main highlight of my trip. Yes, I love food very much. However, the food in Montreal hit so different. I wanted to cry from happiness on many occasions while there. You can taste the big difference in the food. I believe this is due to the quality of the ingredients, the preparation (no rush), and the dedication to consistent excellence. If you ever get the opportunity to go then I highly recommend the following amazing places to eat in Montreal!
Green Spot | Amazing Places to Eat in Montreal #3
Ok, Green Spot was one of the first places I visited when arriving in Montreal. Honestly, I felt like I was misbehaving when I received my plate of poutine. Never heard of poutine? Well let me introduce you. Poutine is the infamous dish of french fries covered in gravy and cheese curds. It is originally from Quebec so you will be getting the top notch stuff when you visit Green Spot.
There are many varieties of poutine meaning you can have all sorts of toppings that will satisfy your cravings or curiosity. I decided to go with the traditional brown gravy, cheese curds and steak. The portions were so generous which made me so happy. However, when I began to eat … all I could do was shake my head in great approval thanking God for his many blessings.

Damas | Amazing Places to Eat in Montreal #2
Damas was the last restaurant I visited while in Montreal. Damas is a Syrian restaurant with striking yet comfortable ambience. I immediately felt welcomed and at eased once seated. As I am writing this, I sighed with great contentment because I remembered how good the lamb shank was. Damas changed my mind about lamb because I used to not prefer it. The lamb meat was so tender and well seasoned. I could tell that the preparation was unique.
The flavors of the meat, vegetables and sauces were all bold yet in perfect concert with each other. I can’t really describe to you how amazing this food was. You will want to bring Damas back to your hometown if you eat anything there. I truly believe this. I do not understand Damas but I must eat there when I return to Montreal.
O yes, I remembered to mention that the drinks were all healthy and refreshing. Damas is one of the restaurants that inspire me to explore the many ways to make a healthy delicious drink … it’s all natural. Just beautiful. Great job Damas.

Le Virunga | Amazing Places to Eat in Montreal #1
I love love love Le Virunga. That is all I really want to say lol. Le Virunga is a small cozy African restaurant with significant character. I felt at home quite naturally. Le Virunga was my favorite restaurant when visiting Montreal Quebec. I still have not tasted goat meat like the goat meat at this restaurant. You will immediately recognize skill, competence and passion for excellent food. I am so impressed.
I ordered the goat meat with cassava topped with greens of some sort. All parts of the meal were so complementary. When I tasted the goat meat, I instantly went into slow motion because I wanted the goat meat to last for a long time. I savored every single bite. It was so good. My goodness. You can witness the clean bones and plate in the image above. I tried to be dignified and refrain from clearing the sauce as well … I was partially successful.
Again another place that inspired me when it comes to making healthy and refreshing drinks. I do not remember what this drink was but it gave me LIFE. It was soooo good. I felt like I had redeemed myself eating that poutine LOL.
