The Best Vegan Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal in 5 minutes

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal

Ola my friend! Are you ready for a breakfast idea that will powerfully boost your brain and energy levels? If so, then you will fall in love with making this peanut butter banana oatmeal bowl in less than 5 minutes. Most importantly, your eyes may automatically close and you may release a sigh of great contentment after taking the first bite because of how delicious it is. Just a little heads-up. 😅

Oatmeal is a staple food from my youth up. I must admit that I have come a long way in how I prepared my oatmeal. It was mandatory for me to have a lot of sugar and then milk to ensure it did not get dry. Then I graduated to using brown sugar which made me feel like I was being super healthy. However, I still used too much sugar. I was literally having oatmeal with my bowl of milk and sugar vs having a little sugar and milk with my oatmeal.

Now I only use coconut sugar or 100% maple syrup or honey to sweeten my oatmeal. Bananas in my oatmeal is something I discovered recently and was a big NO NO before my healthy eating journey. Now I absolutely love bananas with my oatmeal because they are so complimentary. I explored a little with the peanut butter in 2022 only and I am hooked. It is a must have from now on.

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Ingredients & Prep

  • Old Fashion Oatmeal (organic 100% whole grain recommended)
  • Cinnamon
  • Coconut Sugar
  • Banana
  • Pecans
  1. Pour 1 cup of oatmeal in a bowl
  2. Boil water and pour in bowl covering the oatmeal
  3. Allow the oatmeal to cook for about 2-3 minutes
  4. Layer on the plant butter, cinnamon, honey (optional), peanut butter, and coconut sugar
  5. Slice the banana into 10-15 slices and cover all of the oatmeal
  6. Finally top the peanut butter banana oatmeal bowl with chopped pecans

Notes

  1. I use small small servings of coconut sugar and honey because the bananas are adequately sweet. However, the taste is what we are going for here. It is a beautiful combination of flavors that you have to experience to believe it.
  2. Missing your milk but want a plant based one? Sure, just use Almond milk or coconut milk. These two works wonders. However, you may not miss the milk!
