My Strange Subway Addiction & The Vegan Subway Sandwich I Love Now

Ola my friend! How do you feel about Subway? Do you feel like you are eating “Fresh” or “Healthy” every time you eat there? What is your favorite subway sandwich? I had a very strange addiction to subway until my homemade vegan subway sandwich took over. It’s strange because it was funny but also weird.

I am so grateful for my manifesto as it encouraged me to try to make a sandwich just as good. Interestingly, my homemade vegan subway sandwich came out 1000% times better and I prefer it over Subway. I do not want Subway ever again. The best part is my family also love my vegan subway sandwich.

Subway Addiction Background

So, I was addicted to the “Veggie Delite” Subway Sandwich. It was mandatory to have the Italian Herbs & Cheese bread, provolone cheese and that it be a footlong every time. The funny thing is that I thought I was being really healthy by getting only vegetables.

I had eliminated deli meats from my diet permanently around 2018. Before then my favorite subway sandwich was either the chicken or turkey breast. I could not go a full week without a Veggie Subway Sandwich.

The dressing and bread are the main things that contributed to my addiction. I would request heavy squirts of the Lite Mayo, Golden Italian dressing and Chipotle Southwest sauce. Yikes! No doubt the thoughts going through the Subway team members head were like, “O no, she is going to give herself a heart attack with all of this sauce!” They always struggled to close my sandwich because it was loaded with every single one of the veggies!

I rarely left any of the footlong sub for later. This causes me to shudder now thinking about the abuse to my body. I DO NOT miss those days. My stomach and heart were under so much stress. Now I make my homemade vegan subway sandwich that contains quality and healthy ingredients and hit the spot every time. Pair this vegan sandwich with Kettle Chips and you will be good to go.
