This recipe from preppy kitchen was one of the best recipes I found. You do not need a sweetener especially if the watermelon is sweet. However, feel free to substitute the honey for maple syrup, agave or even coconut sugar.

Applause Amber. Super easy and natural. I would not change a thing here. I personally do not like the taste of coconut water but I know it is so good for me. The lemon especially the lemon peel makes it no problem to drink. Yay!

There are so many ways to have fun with this so enjoy hydrating and replenishing your precious electrolytes!

Well, what do you think? What’s your favorite way to rehydrate? I choose homemade electrolyte drinks over Gatorade any day. Besides, Gatorade doesn’t meet my manifesto of food guiding principles. I whole-heartedly believe nutrients comes best from live foods and not pills or supplements. Harvard Health gives a good explanation on my reasoning. Please drop a comment below or email me.
